Adobe has slowed active development on XD and shifted focus to other Creative Cloud apps. It still works, but new features are rare. Figma receives weekly updates and active investment.
Figma lets multiple designers edit the same file in real time with live cursors, comments, and version history. XD coediting requires sync and does not match Figma multiplayer fluidity.
For solo work, XD is competitive and integrates better with Photoshop assets. But for teams of any size, Figma multiplayer and component systems give it a clear edge.
